EVENT DROP

The party ended.

Your mind didn't necessarily get the memo.

After an exciting, highly social, intimate, or emotionally intense experience, some people notice a temporary shift in mood or energy once it's over. You may feel unusually tired, disconnected, emotional, restless, anxious—or simply find yourself wishing you could immediately return to the experience. Within event and lifestyle communities, this is often described as “event drop.”

Not everyone experiences it, and it can look different from person to person. Sometimes it's simply the contrast between an exciting shared experience and returning to everyday routines.

AFTER THE EXPERIENCE

Finding yourself a little more “in your feels” after an event?

You're not alone.

You've spent hours connecting, exploring, experimenting, meeting people, pushing the edges of your comfort zone, or simply allowing yourself to be fully present and authentic. Coming down from that level of physical, social, and emotional stimulation can take time.

Give yourself permission to decompress.

Rest. Hydrate. Eat. Check in with one another. Talk about your favorite moments. Share appreciation. And be kind to yourself while your body and mind settle back into their normal rhythm.

STAY CONNECTED

You don't have to process the experience by yourself.

Our aNML Official Community on Telegram is available for members who want to talk, ask questions, share experiences, or simply stay connected after an event. Sometimes your willingness to talk about what you're experiencing helps someone else realize they're experiencing something similar.

You may also reach out privately to one of our host moderators if you'd rather have a one-on-one conversation.
